This course for basic users presents the fundamental aspects of the English language, with content at the A2.1 level of the CEFR. Students see the necessary grammar and vocabulary to talk about possession, clothes and where people live. They are also introduced to ordinal numbers, the past simple, as well as the imperative and ways to ask questions.
Each unit starts with one or more Masterclasses, with an AI teacher presenting new grammatical or lexical content. Learners then use this information to participate in role-play and conversation activities, which encourage them to use the language spontaneously and meaningfully.
The writing and speaking assignments that follow offer the chance to use the language in a range of situations. The student needs to follow the instructions to create short written and spoken texts, which allow them to reuse the new language independently.
The course also includes periodic tests to assess progress, and an AI final test contains a range of exercises to check the student's comprehension of the objectives covered in level A2.1.
